Pure henna leaf powder

Radico Herbal Henna is milled henna leaf (Lawsonia inermis) — a single-herb plant colour rather than a pre-blended shade. It contains no fillers, no PPD, no ammonia and no peroxide.

This one colours. On its own henna gives a warm copper-orange, and how it lands depends entirely on the hair underneath: strong and bright on light or grey hair, a warm glow on mid-brown, barely visible on very dark hair. It is not a treatment powder. If you want conditioning with no colour change, choose colourless henna, brahmi or neem instead.

Many people use it to blend their own shade — warming up a Radico colour, or building a custom mix with indigo.

How to use

1. Weigh 30 g at shoulder length, 15-20 g for short hair, or 50-60 g for long or thick hair.
2. Mix with warm water to a smooth yoghurt consistency. Some people let it stand a few hours for a deeper release.
3. Strand test. Henna is difficult to reverse, so this step matters more here than with any other powder.
4. Apply evenly from roots to ends, saturating fully.
5. Cover and leave 1-2 hours, then rinse with water only. Wait two to three days before shampooing.

Questions

How is this different from Natural Henna or Colourless Henna?
Natural Henna and Colourless Henna are sold as shades within the Colour Me Organic range. This is the loose single-herb henna powder used for blending and custom mixes.

What colour will I get?
Copper-orange, varying with your starting shade. Henna is translucent — it layers over your natural colour rather than replacing it. Strand test.

Can I go darker?
Yes, by blending with indigo. Henna alone will not give brown or black.

How long does it last?
Henna binds firmly and fades slowly over months rather than washing out. Plan accordingly.
