The Prima Coeliac Disease Screening Test checks capillary blood for anti-deamidated gliadin peptide (anti-DGP) IgG and anti-tissue transglutaminase (anti-tTG) IgA antibodies, both strongly linked to coeliac disease, an autoimmune reaction to gluten that affects the small intestine.

Who It's For

People with symptoms that may relate to coeliac disease (such as bloating, chronic diarrhoea, vomiting, constipation, weight loss, fatigue or irritability), those with a first-degree relative with coeliac disease, and people with related conditions such as Type 1 diabetes.

What's Included

• 1 test cassette
• 1 vial with dropper containing diluent
• 2 sterile lancets
• 1 capillary pipette for blood sampling
• 1 alcohol cleansing gauze
• Instructions for use

How to Use

1. Prick your fingertip with the sterile lancet provided.
2. Draw up the blood sample to the line marked on the pipette.
3. Deposit the sample into the sample well (S) on the test cassette.
4. Add 1 drop of diluent and read your result after 10 minutes.

Accuracy

Anti-DGP: 90.1% specificity, 84.3% sensitivity, 86.94% accuracy. Anti-tTG: 98.02% specificity, 98.31% sensitivity, 98.17% accuracy.
